Pieces stated as having a universal fitting will fit all head sizes. Often the piece will have a wire claw/construction that will be hair coloured that will fit to your head like a hair band. The piece may also have an elastic band that sits at the back of your head underneath your hair to secure the piece in place. Alternatively the piece may be positioned on a hairband that will be a universal head size.
Some pieces require you to send us your head size. Use a soft tape measure. Measure your head straight across your forehead just above your ears and over the most bulbous part of the back of your head. The full circumference is required.
Some pieces will be made to order and you will see a delivery time in the product description. Please do call us to request a piece made sooner and we will aim to accommodate your needs. We do charge an extra 12% fee for the urgent service to cover extra expenses.

For shipping to the USA please allow two weeks. Your parcel will be fully insured and once it leaves the Jane Taylor showroom the courier will take full responsibility for the package. Any claims for loss or damage to the shipment will be the responsibility of the client, we do not take any liability for this once they are collected by the courier. Your initial consultation of 30-40 minutes long will give us time to get to know you and discuss your requirements and for the perfect piece. Please do bring fabric swatches or the outfit to the appointment along with with your accessories. If you are a bride it can be useful to have images of your hairstyle so we can create the piece to work around your hair style.

We offer a bespoke dying service for our bespoke clients. If this is something you are interested in then please bring a fabric swatch or your outfit with you to discuss with our milliners or make an appointment to meet with Jane. Having a hat dyed to order will pull the whole look together, tying in your accessories, dress and coat for the perfect final touch.
If you are unable to come to the store please do post a fabric swatch to us and we can advise over email or phone to create something special for you and your outfit.

You will receive your items folded in tissue paper. This is then placed in a Jane Taylor hat box and shipped inside a protective cardboard box. For accessories they will be wrapped in tissue inside a Jane Taylor bag and inside a protective card box.
